The Reefton Volunteer Fire Brigade — and a nearby child — came to the rescue of a distressed dog yesterday.
The brigade was called to the racecourse just on 1pm after a small dog was mistakenly locked inside a caravan — one of 900 in town for the New Zealand Motorhome Association national rally.
