Three Greymouth High School students — Nina van Rijnsoever, Devon Kilkelly and Ellen Nicol — have made it to the small screen, taking part in TV2’s The 4.30 Show, a television competition for the title of Top Teen. Teams are put through mental and physical challenges, including a team challenge on bungy cords, and music and texting quizzes. They are pitted against a team from Wesley College, from Auckland. At the end of the show yesterday the Greymouth girls were ahead of their all-boy opponents, 56 points to 48, but with two more days of the competition to go. The Top Teen section runs for eight weeks. The top placed school wins $3000.
