Greymouth High School students celebrate success

Greymouth High School students Luke Cambus, left, Grace Gardner, Kieran Smith, Caitlin Glue, principal Andy England, Bodeen Stewart, Jacob Shaw and Brogan Robinson celebrate their success at NCEA level one and two, after they each gained excellence endorsements. Seven students out of last year’s Year 13 scholars, now at university, were awarded excellence endorsements for success at level three. Overall, the school, had a level 1 pass rate of 78.4% (four excellence endorsements, 17 merit endorsements); level 2 of 88.4% passed — well above the national average and including three excellence endorsements and 11 merits — and 54.5% in level three, with two students gaining excellence and seven merits.
